US Republican presidential hopeful feels being gay is 'part of Satan'

Michele Bachmann made the comments back in 2004, but more recent controversy suggests she and her husband attempt to reform gay people through prayer.

REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION hopeful Michele Bachmann has been revealed to think that homosexuality is a “sexual dysfunction” and that it is a “sad life. It’s part of Satan, I think, to say this is gay. It’s anything but gay’.

Gawker reports on a lecture Bachmann delivered back in 2004 to the National Education Leadership Conference during which she said that “now gays are made to look good” on television and suggested that the gay community hired the notorious Fred Phelps “to do what he does”.

It’s also alleged that a counselling centre run by Bachmann and her husband Marcus offers therapy designed to reform gay men through the power of prayer. ABC reports that an undercover operation mounted by a gay rights advocate uncovered evidence of the practice at the clinic:
