PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA was accidentally locked out of the White House after he returned early from a state visit to Latin America with the first family.

Whistling nonchalantly, Obama passed another set of doors before he finally got into the Oval Office, the Telegraph reports.

Obama had arrived back in Washington a few hours ahead of schedule on Wednesday to work on his country’s position on the Libyan situation.

Although NATO has agreed to take over the command of the no-fly zone over Libya, the US will not be able to make as quick a withdrawal from the military action as Obama had initially planned. The US, France and Britain led the attacks on Gaddafi’s forces and the Obama administration had sought a clearer message on handing responsibility over to NATO forces.

Instead, NATO said it would take care of the no-fly zone but would not take full overall command for the military operation.
