A MAN BELIEVED to be a convicted sex offender was kicked and punched in new footage uploaded to social media last night.

The video, which was posted on the 98FM Dublin Talks Facebook page, shows the man being verbally and physically assaulted.

The attacker believed him to be a convicted child rapist.

The footage shows the man in question being punched twice and kicked in the head.

“That’s the way the f***ing child was, you f***ing scumbag,” his assailant said.

Early reports have suggested that the attack took place in Dún Laoghaire garda station in Dublin.

However, a spokesperson for the Garda Síochána told TheJournal.ie this morning that it has no records of any incidents of assault at that particular station yesterday.

The spokesperson said he could not comment on content uploaded to social media by third parties.
