THREE MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with the sale and supply of counterfeit washing powder.

Gardaí seized €40,000 worth of the laundry powder, along with a large quantity of raw materials, at a premises at Greenogue Business Park in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin yesterday at 12pm.

It followed the premises being placed under surveillance, possibly Ariel, by gardaí.

The three men, aged between mid-30s to late 50s, were released without charge, with a file prepared for the DPP.

A statement from gardaí said the investigation is “also working hand in hand with the #TurnBackCrime initiative, which is INTERPOL’s global public awareness campaign to highlight the dangers of organized crime and its impact on everyday life”.
