US REPUBLICAN Party presidential candidate Herman Cain has dismissed the sexual harassment allegations made against him as “baseless”, saying that no such accusations were ever levelled against him until he “got inside the Beltway at Washington DC”.

Cain appeared on David Letterman’s Late Show last night and said that the accusations made against him have no foundation and that “nothing else has come up”.

“So these statements are all false, all of these woman are lying,” Letterman put to the GOP candidate.

“It did not happen,” Cain responded.

“They are all lying?”

“Yes, they are,” Cain said.

Two weeks ago it was reported that three women had come forward with allegations of harassment against Cain, but in the show Letterman referred to a fourth woman, prompting Cain to ask: “How did  you get four?”

Cain recently hit headlines after appearing uncertain about the Obama administration’s policies on Libya and the removal of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi from power.
