The water isn't finished falling from the sky... There's ANOTHER rain warning

Where’s that Child of Prague statue? Let’s all put them out tonight.

YES WE KNOW we had that Indian summer, and the ridiculously warm Hallowe’en but we’re still done with this weather.

The wet feet, the slippy leaves, the broken umbrellas…

We can’t handle anymore.

But there’s been more bad news this afternoon from the powers that be. Met Éireann has issued more weather warnings – all about rain.

Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath and Monaghan have been smacked with a ‘status orange’ (the middle warning) for rainfall.

The message:

A spell of heavy rain on Thursday followed by another spell of heavy rain on Thursday night will give rainfall accumulation of 40 to 60 mm with localised flooding.

Is that you being smug down there in Munster? Well, don’t be. You’ve been issued with a yellow warning – along with Connacht, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan and Donegal.

Sorry for that spate of bad news. On the bright side… Do you believe in pots o’ gold?
