WITH 82,000 PEOPLE set to hit Croke Park later for the replayed All Ireland senior football final, all eyes are doubtless on the skies, not least because the entire drawn game took place in miserable misty rain.

Well, the news is sort of good but also sort of bad.

According to Met Éireann, we can expect “changeable” weather throughout the day, with scattered showers, especially on the east and south east coasts.

There will also be a smattering of fog. So far so grim.

However, the weather is expected to pick up throughout the day, with sunny spells expected later this afternoon. But showery rain is also expected in the east and south east, so bringing an umbrella is advisable.

One thing is certain, it’ll be relatively chilly this afternoon, with top temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees celsius.

And tonight, a light ground frost is expected in some places. Oh, it’s October alright.

Temperatures will range between one and four degrees overnight, so be sure to wrap up warm.
