There's a high pressure building - we'll have fine weather for days

WE’RE IN FOR some nice, bright days in the coming week as a high pressure builds over the country.

Nights will be cool, and we won’t exactly be reaching for the sunscreen in the daytime – but it will be mild most days with temperatures occasionally reaching the mid-teens.

Back to today, and this afternoon will be cold and bright, with highs of only around nine degrees.

It will be cold tonight, down to minus two in some areas – and conditions tomorrow will be similar to today’s.

The week ahead

There’ll be some outbreaks of rain on Monday, brightening up later with the best weather in Leinster.

Tuesday will be cloudy with some sunny spells, and it will be dry with light easterly winds.

There’ll be hazy sunshine on Wednesday, with temperatures of up to 15 degrees.

According to the outlook from Met Éireann

High pressure building well into next week, will ensure a lot of dry weather with just light breezes. Whilst it will be relatively mild on some of the days further west, still cool in the east and southeast with onshore breezes. Cool if not cold by night.
