THE SOUTH IS braced for a day of torrential rain, with Met Éireann issuing a yellow weather warning for Cork, Kerry, Waterford and Wexford.
The warning will be in effect until 6pm today.
However, the rest of the country won’t get away with being rained on, with “heavy, thundery showers” expected to spread from the south and mid-west of the country to the rest of Ireland. This may lead to localised spot flooding, Met Éireann says. Highest temperatures will be 12 to 14 degrees.
Tonight, showers will continue, but be less frequent.
The rain will ease off tomorrow and there may even be some sunshine, however the weekend shows no signs of improving, with more storms and rain.
Don’t you just love the Irish weather?
