THE WET WEATHER is set to subside this weekend as temperatures of at least 20 degrees are expected across most of the country.

While this morning may be miserable in some areas, it should dry out by this afternoon.

According to Met Éireann, conditions tomorrow will be an improvement on recent days – with temperatures to return to the mid-20s in many areas on both Saturday and Sunday.

“Some bright spells in eastern areas at first tomorrow with a little hazy sunshine,” the latest outlook on the weather service’s website said.

But cloudy and misty with some rain, already in western areas, will extend countrywide by early afternoon. A clearance will develop in western and northwestern areas later. Top temperatures 16 to 21 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest to westerly winds.

Sunday will be largely dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells.

The outlook into next week is “changeable”, according to forecasters, but we should see some temperatures in the low 20s and a mixture of cloudier and sunny conditions.
