The weirdest and most brilliant pictures sent in by our readers

Sometimes we are sent really useful news tips and pictures, other times we are sent really weird stuff like this.

OVER HERE AT headquarters we sometimes are sent in really, REALLY random stuff.

While for the most part our readers send us news tips and pictures that are perfectly relevant and useful, sometimes they’re really not.

We used to post some of the weird stuff being sent our way, and we’ve recently started bringing back the randomness.

So here’s a look at some of the surprises we got when we opened our inboxes recently:

‘Filly Racing’

One reader sent in a picture of this very random poster they spotted down by Grand Canal Square in Dublin.

‘Irish Filly Racing’ … gas lads. Can’t beat that 1950s humour.

‘Budget time’

Another reader sent in this image of how he predicted the budget would be balanced this year.

We also received this sketch from, what we imagine, is a very proud sibling.

The caption was short and simple, “Little brother’s sketch of the notorious.”

Hello Susie

Meet “Susie” the dog, our new training officer. This pic was taken during some live scenario training exercises, we performed this week. Susie was overseeing Paul and Lesley as they practiced some CPR.

This image was sent in with the caption, “Whistle blowing at its finest.”

Whistle While You Work

This eerie image came in from Wicklow with the following caption:

“As I was walking through woods near Ashford … I may have spotted a witch.”
