MANY PARTS OF the country were spoilt over the last week with sunny weather and high temperatures, but it’s time now to take the umbrella out of retirement.

The forecast features showers and downpours until the latter half of next week.

Temperatures will stay relatively warm today, the highest reaching 16 to 21 degree, with sunny spells.

But Met Éireann believes there will also be heavy, thundery downpours in less fortunate areas.

Tomorrow will be more of the same, with temperatures inching downwards (except in the east where sunny spells are due to dominate), and clouds creeping in.

Wet and windy weather will dominate the rest of the week, with some sun scattered in between, but Met Éireann has this glimmer of hope

Thursday and Friday look like being milder days., with some dry, bright periods of weather, but latest charts also indicate occasional spells of rain.
