BACK IN 1912, one of the founders of Redbreast spotted a robin through the trees and decided on a name for his new whiskey there and then.
Today, Redbreast Irish Whiskey is enjoyed all over the world, with seven members in its family, from the signature Redbreast 12 Year Old to the cask strength Redbreast 27 Year Old.
The complex, full-flavoured blends, all distilled in Midleton, Co Cork, have been speaking for themselves for over a century. Now though, the brand is letting its mascot fly free. Meet Robin Redbreast…
To celebrate Robin Redbreast’s flight of fancy, we’re giving away a bottle of Redbreast 27 Year Old, worth €495, to one lucky winner.
The oldest permanent release in the Redbreast family, every bottle of Redbreast 27 Year Old has been matured in ruby port barrels from Portugal’s Duoro Valley for almost three decades, under the watchful eyes of the Midleton Masters.
The port barrels contribute notes of mango, pineapple and berry, with a satisfyingly long balance of ripe fruit and wood spices – a flavour combination worthy of the whiskey’s 27-year journey.
To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is answer the question below. Send your answer, along with your date of birth and address to competitions@thejournal.ie.
