Woman (67) hospitalised after being robbed on Dublin street

The woman is receiving hospital treatment after a lone man grabbed her handbag, dragging her to the ground in the process.

GARDAÍ ARE LOOKING for witnesses of the robbery of a woman in her 60s in Dublin city centre on Wednesday.

Gardaí in Pearse Street are investigating the circumstances of the robbery of the 67-year-old woman on 19 October.

The incident  occurred at around 10:05pm when the woman, who was in the company of her husband, was returning to her car.

While she was walking on Setanta Place a lone male approached from South Frederick Street.

He pulled the handbag from the woman’s shoulder, dragging her to the ground in the process.

The suspect then ran in the direction of Nassau Street.

The woman was taken to hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.

The male was described as being in his late teens or early 20s, 5’5″ – 5’8″ in height and wearing dark clothing and white runners.
