A 27-YEAR-OLD woman is to appear in court tomorrow charged with the attempted murder of two PSNI officers in Belfast last week.

The woman was arrested last week and will face two counts of attempted murder, as well as charges relating to the possession of explosives with intent to endanger life, and the preparation of terrorist acts.

She will appear at Laganside court tomorrow morning.

A man, 26, who was arrested in England last week in connection with the same incident, remains in police custody there.

The police officers narrowly escaped injury when pipe bombs were thrown at them as they responded to a 999 call in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Neither was hurt, but both officers were said to be “badly shaken”.
