CECILIA ‘DOLLY’ MISCHEL Boarman has finally received her degree – 60 years after she enrolled for her course in 1957.

Dolly was 40 when she began but had to leave Brescia University in Kentucky before she could finish.

However, the 102-year-old has now been awarded an honorary degree after all these years.

Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Brescia University, Tracy Naylor, heard about Dolly from Boarman’s daughter – who attended college alongside her mother for a time.

I immediately checked her transcripts, calculated her credits, and asked if there was any way I could deliver a diploma … It was one of the best things I’ve had the opportunity during my career.
