Masked men tie woman up and lock man in toilet in Lisburn robbery

Four masked men entered the house after 8pm last night and made off with two legally-held firearms and a quantity of cash.

DETECTIVES IN LISBURN are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a house in the Saintfield Road area.

The robbery occurred after 8pm last night.

Four men dressed in black and wearing gloves and balaclavas entered the house.

A man was assaulted and then locked in a downstairs toilet, while a woman was also tied up and threatened with a knife.

Two legally-held firearms and a quantity of money was taken by the intruders who are believed to have made off from the scene in a vehicle at around 8.20pm.

The man suffered cuts and bruises and both occupants were left badly shocked.

Police are asking anyone who observed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact CID in Lisburn on 0845 600 8000.
