Avoid Xtra-vision because of late returns? Fear no more...
IT’S THE WORST.
Bringing the latest release to the till with the giant bags of Maltesers and popcorn, looking forward to your cosy night in, and realising that there is €47.50 owing on your Xtra-Vision account.
You put the items down and shuffle away.
Xtra-vision are now offering us all a way out of the embarrassing situation.
Starting tomorrow and continuing for two weeks, the company has decided to offer customers in arrears a debt write-off.
Anyone who accumulated arrears through rentals made between July and December 2013 will have their Xtra-vision account cleared if they purchase a Bronze, Silver or Gold rental pass.

“We often get feedback that people who have outstanding balances on their Xtra-vision accounts are avoiding coming back to the store, so we thought it would be a nice gesture this St. Patrick’s weekend to give them all a chance to clear the balance,” explained CEO Gerry Butler.
The rental pass costs between €5 and €20 and allows for unlimited movie and game rentals over a specified period.
(And, yes, people still rent DVDs from a shop. None of this fancy streaming stuff.)
