Thunderstorm warning in place for most of the country
Drivers are being urged to take care as spot flooding is expected.
A THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in place for most of the country this morning.
Thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected which could lead to spot flooding in some areas.
Met Éireann issued a status orange warning which implies that people should prepare themselves for the anticipated conditions.
It will be in place for Munster, Leinster, Connacht, Donegal, Monaghan and Cavan until this evening.
AA Roadwatch are urging drivers to take care and only drive through water if you know it’s not too deep for your car.
Just before 7 o’clock this morning, it reported that “So far this morning, road conditions are wet but no reports of flooding”.
