DOES SOMETHING SEEM out of place? An oddity that you can’t quite put your finger on?
In case you haven’t noticed – the usual autumnal chill is absent in the air this Halloween.
In the UK, it seems they’re having their warmest Halloween on record.
While it’s not quite as warm here, things are better than they have been on this day for almost 20 years.
Our peak temperature for the 31st of October came in 1995 – when an Indian summer saw thermometer hit a high of 19.6 Celsius.
Today Met Eireann has measured the temperature at 17.9 Celsius in both Casement in Dublin and at Dublin Airport.
Despite the warm weather – there is expected to be some heavy rain in some western and southern counties this evening – including Limerick, Galway, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Mayo.
For people around the rest of the country, the warm weather is most likely to be welcomed by those heading out in costume this evening.
Wicklow seems to be basing its plans around the weather holding…
