The father-of nine was killed while attending a wedding in Newtownbutler on 11 February.

A MAN IN his 20s has been charged with the murder of 63-year-old Barney McGinley – who was shot at a wedding in Co Fermanagh last month.

The father-of nine was killed while attending the ceremony in Newtownbutler on 11 February.

A 46-year-old man has already appeared in court in connection with the case – and has been remanded in custody.

In a statement this evening, PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Una Jennings confirmed detectives had arrested and charged a man in his 20s.

“He has also been charged with the attempted murder of a man in his 30′s who was also attending this wedding,” Jennings said.

He’s due to appear before Omagh Magistrates Court tomorrow.

“Our thoughts and sympathy continue to remain with the McGinley family at this time,” the PSNI statement said.
