A poll carried out for Amarách Research for RTÉ’s Claire Byrne Live earlier today shows that seven out of 10 people have no confidence in the State-owned bad bank.

NAMA has been the source of much controversy over the past number of weeks in relation to the sale of its Northern Ireland assets portfolio which was dubbed Project Eagle.
A report by the Comptroller & Auditor General (C&AG) found last week that Nama lost €220 million on the sale of its loan book.
Nama roundly rejected these findings, with the chairman of its audit committee Brian McEnery saying yesterday that C&AG did not have “good commercial expertise” when compiling the report.
Last week, the Government and opposition parties agreed a statutory inquiry into the sale of the Northern loan book.
The Public Accounts Committee will soon meet to discuss the sale of the Project Eagle portfolio, with Nama due to appear before it 29 September, although many believe this will be brought forward to 22 September – this Thursday.
There have also been political debates over whether Michael Noonan – who was involved in the sale – should appear before the PAC.
