A MAN WHO was found unconscious outside a Dublin hotel earlier this month has since died in hospital, it has emerged.
The unidentified man died on Christmas Eve, just over a week after he was found outside the Arlington Hotel on Lord Edward Street in Dublin at around 6pm on Friday, 16 December.
The Garda Ombudsman continues to investigate the incident and had appealed for the public’s assistance in indentifying the man.
He was described as being in his late 40s or early 50s, of slight build and with a white complexion. He was said to have greyish hair and a moustache.
On the night in question, gardaí were called to the scene and the man was subsequently taken to Pearse Street Garda Station. He was later taken to hospital and the incident was referred to the Garda Ombudsman in accordance with section 102(1) of the Garda Síochána Act 2005.
It is understood that foul play is not suspected.
