THE PSNI HAS appealed for witnesses to come forward after three people were injured in an altercation at the end of the football match in Belfast last night.

The Co Antrim Junior Shield final between Suffolk FC and Woodvale FC took place at Seaview in north Belfast last night.

Following the game (which ended 3-1 to Suffolk), after Suffolk had been awarded the Shield, an altercation broke out on the field.

Footage that appeared on Twitter from the event appears to show a large number of people become involved.

The Co Antrim FA said on Twitter that it had launched an investigation into the incident, and would be assisting the PSNI with its enquiries.
