Update 4pm
MANY KBC CUSTOMERS were left without their wages today as the bank experienced a delay in processing payments.
The bank’s customer service Twitter page was peppered with messages from people wondering why payments hadn’t reached their accounts.
“But what is the delay? Always issues with KBC and credit payments hitting my account..I’m the only one in the office who’s wages [are] late,” John Monaghan tweeted.
KBC customer Simon told The Journal that he experienced the same problem before the Easter Monday bank holiday in April.
“I have just spoken to them for the 3rd time today and they have now changed their line to ‘all funds will be in people’s accounts by the end of the day.’ It’s just not good enough!” he said.
KBC later confirmed to TheJournal.ie that all customer payments have now been processed. The bank apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused.
A similar delay left Ulster Bank customers frustrated in January while Bank of Ireland was hit with hundreds of complaints in February when customers were left without their wages due to a processing delay.
