EARLIER THIS WEEK TheJournal.ie reported how a number of people were receiving calls from numbers based in Vanuatu in what’s believed to be a scam.
The phone rings briefly and doesn’t give much time for the person to answer – which may lead them to call back.
ComReg warned people to be vigilant with missed calls from a number they don’t recognise: “We would advise consumers that returning calls to unknown international numbers can be costly and we advise consumers to exercise caution when they receive a missed call from such numbers.”
So today we’re asking, have you been targeted by a phone scam?
