THE VILLAGE OF Nohoval in Cork is certainly a place that contributes to the county’s reputation for great scenery and stunning seaside views. This unique part of Ireland is home to Nohoval Cove – a pretty small bay that’s instantly recognisable for its steep cliffs and rugged rocks that rise from the water.
Spread over three floors and spanning 277 m², Old Nohoval House is a period property that sits close to the cove.
Sitting on an acre of private gardens and a large courtyard to the front of the house, this striking home is on the market for €435,000. The 200-year-old gem is just minutes from the village of Nohoval and the beach, while the larger village of Carrigaline is a ten minute drive away.
Seeing as it’s a period property the windows are large ensuring lots of natural light inside. The middle section of the house is home to the large entrance hall with an eye-catching spiral staircase. This hall is flanked by a living room and a lounge on either side that are both big and bright thanks to their double aspects.
The lower level has the kitchen and more cosy spaces – a family room and a study as well as a utility room.
These rooms spread across the two floors all have differing window heights ensuring a great choice of spaces to relax in whatever the season.
Three bathrooms are spread throughout the whole home. The two of the top floor are shared by the four large bedrooms and another, featuring a freestanding tub, is on the ground floor alongside the kitchen and utility room.
