GOOD EVENING

The 5 at 5 Five minutes, five stories, five o’clock.

EVERY EVENING, TheJournal.ie brings you the five big news stories you need to know before you head out the door.

1. #DAVID DRUMM Former Anglo boss David Drumm has been granted bail on strict conditions. €50,000 must be lodged to the court, and an independent surety must also be offered. He has been remanded in custody overnight.

2. #WE’RE SORRY Top Gear has apologised for the “unwise” filming of car stunts near a war memorial in London. The show came under fire after a car was seen doing ‘doughnuts’ near the Cenotaph.

3. #COURT A man has been jailed for 13 years for raping a woman with Down syndrome in Dublin. Mr Justice Tony Hunt described the offence as “frightening, appalling, disgusting and depraved”.

4. #TURKEY A Cavan estate agent has been accused of selling a woman’s apartment in Turkey before “falsely and dishonestly misleading her and appropriating” €42,000 of the proceeds.

5. #MR SCREEN Been wondering where Mr Screen, who was located outside the now-closed Screen cinema, is? We’ve found him – he’s in the Savoy cinema now.
