1. #ON TRIAL The jury at the Graham Dwyer trial has heard how handcuffs, a leather mask and Elaine O’Hara’s keys were found at the bottom of a lake. Dwyer has pleaded not guilty to murdering O’Hara (36) on 22 August 2012 at Killakee, Rathfarnham.

2. #HOMELESS Dublin hospitals have been told that if someone is homeless, they can’t discharge them. The protocol is expected to be implemented during the first quarter of this year.

3. #JOBS 200 new jobs are on the way to Dublin and Limerick. The announcement was made today as the Government unveiled the latest Action Plan. The new positions will be coming on stream at ICON plc.

4. #THE RAID Gardaí seized guns, cash and antique furniture during 30 searches across four counties today. It was aimed at gathering evidence in relation to suspected criminal activity.

5. #IN FLIGHT Selling Aer Lingus to IAG would “devastate” Ireland’s economy, the Transport Committee has been told. Representatives from interest groups discussed the €1.3bn offer with the committee today.
