Gardaí release man arrested during Letterkenny murder investigation

Bogdan Michalkiawicz was last seen alive at lunchtime on Monday 13 May this year.

A MAN WHO was arrested by gardaí as part of the investigation into the murder of a man in Letterkenny has been released.

Gardaí investigating the murder of Bogdan Michalkiawicz in Letterkenny, Co Donegal have released from custody a 37-year-old man who had been detained in relation to the incident.

The man was arrested on 6 June and detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act, 1939 at Letterkenny Garda Station. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The body of Mr Michalkiawicz was discovered at 15 Westside Apartments, Letterkenny on the morning of Wednesday 15 May 2013.

The Polish man was killed between the 13 and 15 May 2013 at the apartment block.

He was last seen alive at lunchtime on Monday 13 May 2013.
