Man to appear in court over cash-in-transit robbery at shopping centre

The incident happened in Dublin on Monday.

A MAN IN his 20s is due to appear before Dublin District Court today, charged in relation to a cash-in-transit robbery during the week.

The incident happened at 9.30am on Monday, 27 March, at Clarehall Shopping Centre in Dublin 13.

Security staff were approached by a man armed with what appeared to be a knife. The man threatened them and escaped with a cash box.

Following a garda investigation, a man in his 20s was arrested on Thursday, 30 March, and detained at Coolock Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.

He is expected to appear at court two at the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
