Late night laneway attack on young man in Cork

The assault happened on Sunday morning.

A MAN IS in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in a laneway in Cork early on Sunday morning.

The attack took place after 1.30am on 22 February in a laneway between the areas of Grange Road and Grange Heights in Douglas.

The 23-year-old victim was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries and he remains there receiving treatment.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the assault.

Anyone who was in vicinity of Grange Road is asked to contact gardaí at Togher Garda Station or through the garda confidential line on 1800-666-111.
