A MAN IS in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in a laneway in Cork early on Sunday morning.
The attack took place after 1.30am on 22 February in a laneway between the areas of Grange Road and Grange Heights in Douglas.
The 23-year-old victim was taken to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries and he remains there receiving treatment.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the assault.
