IRELAND’S FOOD SAFETY watchdog is to investigate the negative effects of energy drinks.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has found that energy drinks will become a significant public health problem if their use among young people is not addressed through a cap on caffeine levels and restrictions on their sale and marketing.
They have been linked to high blood pressure and suicides. Already, Latvia has made the drinks over-18s.
