IT IS WITH a heavy heart that we relayed the news this morning that Gerald ‘Winky Face’ Fleming is retiring from Met Éireann.

Even though doing the weather forecast on national TV and radio is only a small part of a meteorologist’s job, it’s a high-profile one and he’ll be missed.
