2.#ANGLO TRIAL: The trial of three former executives of Anglo Irish Bank today heard how a group of ten developers who were lent money, the Maple 10, were called the banks “10 heroes”.

3.#WHISTLEBLOWER: The Taoiseach has asked the Department of Justice to look into a conversation between garda whistleblower Maurice McCabe and a confidential recipient. The record of the conversation was read into the Dáil last night.

4.#STRIPE: The online payments company founded by a pair of brothers from Limerick has taken a huge step towards a global launch. Stripe, run by Patrick and John Collison can now let users be paid in any currency they desire.

5.#BOSTON: A trial date has been set for the Boston marathon bombing suspect Dzokhar Tsarnaev. Prosecutors announced last month they will seek the death penalty against Tsarnaev, who has pleaded not guilty to 30 federal counts.
