We want to hear from you - tell us why your Irish Mammy is the best to win a prize

We want to hear from you.

SO YOU’VE ALREADY taken our quiz to find out how much of an Irish Mammy you are?

Well, that’s good – because we’re all about celebrating those Irish “Mammyisms”. There’s something almost indefinable about the heart of an Irish mother, and yet we all recognise their special traits a mile away.

We want to hear some of the best things that your Mam ever did for you. So things like…

1. Practically sitting the Leaving for you

Where would any of us be today if we didn’t have our parents ensuring that our homework got done? Not a single adult in Ireland would know their times tables at this very moment if it wasn’t for the tenacity of an Irish mother.

2. Getting you off that cold wall

Because you could have got “you know what” otherwise…

3. Sending you care packages

Whether you were down the Gaeltacht for a few short weeks, or emigrated further afield for the forseeable future, mothers are great for knowing your favourites and sending them to you. Be that contraband sausages or a packet of tea, or just all the news from home.

From the small things like a treat in your lunchbox back in primary school, to the big gestures that really show you she cares, we want to hear why your Irish Mammy is the greatest. The best answer will win a €100 All4One voucher.

Simply let us know in the comments section why your Irish Mammy is so special to be in with a chance to win.

Irish Life understand the importance of the Irish Mammy and want to celebrate their  value.  They are encouraging all parents to take 5 minutes to check how well protected your family would be if anything happened to you. To get the ball rolling, Irish Life are giving FREE Parent Life Insurance to a limited number of eligible Irish parents.  Sign up here.
