Irish women spend €600 on beauty treatments before holidays

They spend almost double the cost of a seven night trip to the Costa del Sol, says Debenhams.

IRISH WOMEN SPEND almost as much on beautifying themselves before their holidays as on the holiday itself, Debenhams revealed today.

The department store chain looked at how much money women spent in their beauty halls and found that they spent almost double the cost of a seven night trip to the Costa del Sol as they did on spray tans, manicures, waxing and other treatments.

“The shocking weather we’ve had so far this summer means women want to treat themselves even more as they prepare for their breaks” said Karen Nason, a Debenhams spokesperson.  ”Many of us haven’t even been able to bare our legs this year, so a spray tan is definitely up there on the priority list.”

Top of the beauty treatment wish list were spray tans, manicures, pedicures and eyebrow threading.
