Shots fired at house outside Longford town

A female occupant was in the house at the time but no one was injured in the incident.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING an incident outside Longford town last night in which shots were fired at a house.

A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that two shots were fired at the house on the Dublin road at approximately 11.30pm.

At the time of the shooting, a female occupant was in the house but suffered no injuries. The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination.

The spokesperson said gardaí are investigating all circumstances.
