Man shot at his front door in Cavan

He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life threatening.

A MAN IN his 20s was shot at the front door of his house in Co Cavan last night.

He was confronted by two men armed with a handgun at around 9:45pm.

One shot was fired at the house in Lisdrumskeagh, Shercock.

He was taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Gardaí are now investigating the shooting, the scene is preserved pending a technical examination.
