Can you guess the 1990s hit song from the first line?

Find out if you know your Madonna from your Mariah.

IRELAND TRULY HIT its cultural peak in the 1990s. We kicked off a Eurovision winning streak. We finally made it to a World Cup quarter final. We unleashed the demonic power of Riverdance upon the world.

It’s been 17 years since we waved goodbye to that charmed decade, but Ireland is still reliving the best bits, with Ray D’Arcy on TV again, Boyzone songs being performed around the country, and Jenny Greene’s 90s dance gig with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra topping reviews of Electric Picnic last year. (She’s bringing it back to Dublin later this month, FYI.)

In honour of Ireland’s favourite decade, we’ve put together a quiz based solely on music from that era. Can you figure out all of these 90s hits based on their first lyric alone?
