A RYANAIR PLANE is being examined today after it had to be evacuated in Kerry Airport this morning.
The incident occurred at 9.15 Â after smoke was detected in the cockpit of a plane which had safely landed. The plane had been flying from London Stansted.
RTÉ reports that emergency procedures were activated after the smoke was detected, when the plane was taxiing down the runway. The 160 people on board were evacuated via emergency chutes.
Two people received minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Both the airline and the Air Accident Investigations Unit are investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, the Dublin Airport Authority has confirmed that all flights to and from Dublin airport have been delayed until 5pm to allow snow to be cleared from the runway.
