FACEBOOK FINALLY ADMITTED over the weekend that social media can be bad for your mental health.

While, naturally, the social media giant pointed out the benefits of social media – “it really comes down to how you use the technology”, a blog post by the company read – it said that some studies did show possible downsides to being on Facebook and similar networks.

“In general, when people spend a lot of time passively consuming information – reading but not interacting with people – they report feeling worse afterward,” it reads.
