Here's the average price of a home in Swords in 2017

The latest data from Daft.ie.

THE AVERAGE LIST price of a property in Swords is now just under €289,000, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.

Analysis of all properties advertised for sale in the third quarter of 2017 puts the mean asking price at €288,957.

This means that prices have risen by just over 55 per cent since hitting their lowest level in 2012/13. However, they are still significantly below their Celtic Tiger peak average of €412,000.

In fact, Swords remains one of the less expensive areas in Dublin. The average asking price across Dublin city and county is currently €394,500.

Of 118 Dublin neighbourhoods in the Daft.ie analysis, Swords is currently ranked 84th for average price. Its closest equivalents are Crumlin, Chapelizod (both €289,000) and Clonsilla (€290,000). However, prices in these neighbourhoods are increasing more rapidly.

In the north county, Swords is considerably less expensive than nearby coastal towns like Malahide and Portmarnock. However, it is significantly more expensive than Balbriggan to the north.
