1. #MILAN: In Italy, an armed man facing bankruptcy shot dead a judge and lawyer in a court and wounded two other people before fleeing the scene. He was captured by police in a nearby town.
2. #EMERGENCY: A main route out of Dublin city centre was closed for a time earlier today as as gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade responded to a person on a rooftop. The incident was resolved safely.
3. #GONE: David McGuinness, the two-time failed Fianna Fáil by-election candidate, has quit the party. The Fingal councillor said he was “showing leadership and going solo”.
4. #DÁIL ROW Mary Lou McDonald said she stands over her decision to name six former politicians who were alleged to have offshore Ansbacher bank accounts – in spite of a finding from a Dáil committee that she abused her parliamentary privilege.
5. #THE GREAT BRITISH CAR OFF Sue Perkins has been named as one of the favourites to take over the helm at Top Gear.
