Young man arrested in Christy Daly murder case

Two men have already been charged with the murder of man shot a number of times and dumped in a drain.

A 23-YEAR-OLD man is being held at Tullamore Garda station in relation to the murder of Christy Daly last December.

Daly, 47, was found dead in a drain at Kilbride near Clara, Co Offaly on 29 December last. He had been shot several times and his body was lying close to a mobile home where he had been living since his release from Portlaoise jail just a few weeks earlier.

Two men have already been charged with Christy Daly’s murder – 23-year-old Ross Allen of Kilmonaghan Lodge, Clara and Matthew Gralton, 20, of Mount Prospect, Roscommon.
