Updated 13.56

THE DT DUBLIN Hotel was evacuated this morning as Dublin Fire Brigade dealt with a fire that broke out at a room on the sixth floor.

Six units of the Dublin Fire Brigade and the fire was brought under control immediately. Guests at the former Burlington Hotel have now been allowed back into the building.

Nobody was hospitalised following the incident.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known but it is believed to have started at a fridge in the room.

In a statement, a hotel spokesperson said:

Guests and team members, whose safety and security are always our priority, were able to re-enter the building within the hour.  There were no injuries or real damage to the property and the hotel is operating as normal.
