Biography

A member of the Communist Party of Ireland, this is his first time running for general election after he ran unsuccessfully in the 2014 local elections. He is a retired secondary school teacher and has been a trade unionist for much of his life. He campaigns on a strongly left-wing, anti-austerity platform.

Why should someone vote for you (in 140 characters or fewer)?

Our Party doesn\'t just want to change the government we want abolish Capitalism and replace it with a superior social and economic system - Socialism.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

My priority is to show constituents that there is an alternative to the current unjust and grossly unequal laissez-faire system of Capitalism which presently prevails.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

I would like to see a motion carried by the Dáil which would repudiate the debt which was imposed on the Irish people by the Troika.
