Eight arrested over 'serious public order incident' at Finglas pub

Gardaí say that there was a “serious public order” incident between a large group of men at around 9pm on the night.

EIGHT MEN HAVE been arrested over a “serious” incident at a Finglas pub last month.

The men, aged from 25-35 are being held at Finglas, Blanchardstown, Ballymun and Clondalkin Garda stations under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. Seven have been charged and will appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am tomorrow.

The arrests centre on an incident in a pub on Cardiffsbridge Road in the town on 19 October.

Gardaí say that there was a “serious public order” incident between a large group of men at around 9pm on the night.

Gardaí in Finglas investigating the incident obtained warrants and searched a number of homes this morning, arresting eight men.

Gardaí in Finglas from the local detective unit, drugs unit and Burglary Response Unit were assisted by armed gardaí from the Emergency Response Unit and Armed Support Unit.
