1. #BUDGET 2015: Brendan Howlin and Michael Noonan have indicated that this autumn’s Budget may not be too harsh, but it’s too early to say to what extent. They said that ‘less cutbacks, less tax increases are needed’.

2. #EXTRADITION: A British national has been remanded in custody for a week, charged with a series of sexual offences against two young girls. He was extradited from Florida last week.

3. #EMERGENCY LANDING: Dozens have been killed in a plane crash in Taiwan. It is believed the plane was making an emergency landing.

4. #ROAD DEATH: A man has died in a two-car collision in Co Limerick. It is the country’s second fatal road incident in 24 hours.

5. #HIGH COURT: An application for Berehaven Credit Union in Cork to be wound up has been approved as it is “no longer viable as a stand alone credit union”.
