Of course I would, DublnNaas. I know of situations where young girls were harassed by foreign males in nightclubs. Borderline sexual harassment. They didn’t want to go to report it. That’s their choice. My comment isn’t as bizarre as u think.

That’s true, Declan B. That is indeed true. I commented on the assumption that it did happen. Of course there is the possibility he is lying or misinterpreted a comment or gesture. Bad behaviour happens in pubs, clubs & so on on a regular basis. We’ll see how this pans out.

I’m sure the complainant is able to differentiate between racist remarks/racial abuse and other kinds of unkind comments and gestures. I doubt if he’d bother to report/complain to the Gardai otherwise. The Gardai are taking the complainant seriously.

Chav is a passive aggressive term, a well used weapon by the politically correct who think we don’t notice. But we do, we see these little terms or what they really are.
